If you are planning on travelling distance to attractions, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly in advance to avoid disappointment.
If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.
The ancestral home of the Dukes of Norfolk, this impressive Norman stronghold has been well-restored throughout the centuries and stands dominating the town beside the River Arun. There is an 11thC keep and 13thC barbican, barons' hall, armoury, billiard room, chapel, library and a gallery containing fine portraits by Van Dyck, Gainsborough and Canaletto and furniture dating from the 16thC. The flower and kitchen gardens and tropical greenhouses have been restored to their original Victorian splendour and more rooms are now open to the public.
